Custom Home Framing Packages

A dedicated 6-man crew and a conditional 4-week guarantee on standard 4-bedroom, 2-story homes. We started as a custom framing crew. If it's made of wood, we'll frame it.

How It Works

No chasing subs, no short-staffed crews. A sub you can count on to hold the schedule. Four steps from plans to framed.

1. Send Your Plans

Send your prints with your quote request. Our estimating team reviews every project and confirms whether the conditional 4-week guarantee can apply to your project.

2. Get Your Quote

Our estimating team provides a firm package quote. Complex builds are quoted based on project specifics, and a timeframe for completion is given.

3. Lock Your Crew Window

We assign a dedicated 6-man crew to your project that aligns with your project schedule. No surprises, no call-ins, we have the muscle to hold the line.

4. Framed in 4 Weeks

The 4-week clock starts once the foundation is ready to go and final plans are signed off on. A standard 2-story, 4-bedroom house takes a 6-man crew 3-4 weeks to frame, and 2 weather days are included on us. Weather delays beyond those 2 days, and delays caused by the project owner or GC, nullify the 4-week guarantee.

What We Frame

Whole structures only, framed start to finish by one dedicated crew. We don't do additions, small garages, or ADUs. The goal is to hold a 6-person crew for a 3-4 week window. This helps QBC manage the ebbs and flows of a project-based construction schedule.

QBC started as a custom home framing crew, and we've framed everything from simple cottages to lakefront homes with indoor basketball courts. Standard 4-bed, 2-story homes carry our 4-week guarantee.

Barns, Shops & Outbuildings

Post-frame barns, large shops, storage buildings, and outbuildings framed complete: walls, trusses, and sheathing, ready for your next trades. If it's a large wooden structure with a foundation and a set of plans, we'll put a crew on it.

What Every Package Includes

A Dedicated 6-Man Crew

Six framers, one lead, one job: yours. Your crew stays on your build from first wall to last rafter, so the schedule you're quoted is the schedule you get. Builder supplies the lumber package. We bring the labor, the tools, and 25+ years of framing experience.

The 4-Week Guarantee

The 4-week clock starts once the foundation is ready to go and final plans are signed off on. A standard 2-story, 4-bedroom house takes a 6-man crew 3-4 weeks to frame, and we'll throw in 2 weather days on us. If we exceed the 4-week window, we'll credit you 1% of our total fee per week until framing is completed. Weather delays greater than 2 days, and delays caused by either the project owner or GC, nullify the 4-week guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 4-week framing guarantee?

For standard 4-bedroom, 2-story homes up to 3,200 square feet, we guarantee your framing is complete within 4 weeks of the clock starting. If we exceed the window outside the guarantee terms, we credit you 1% of our total fee per week until framing is completed. It's in writing, in the contract.

When does the 4-week clock start?

The clock starts when three things are true: your foundation is complete, cured, and within tolerance; the site is accessible for crew and material staging; and your plans are final. Delays caused by the project owner or GC, including plan changes after the clock starts, nullify the 4-week guarantee. We'll still finish your frame; we just re-set the schedule together.

Who supplies the lumber?

The builder supplies the lumber package. We frame it. A late material delivery counts as a builder-side delay, so it nullifies the 4-week guarantee for that window; we'll re-set the schedule with you once the package lands. QBC can source lumber for the right project, so ask, but our focus is keeping a dedicated crew swinging on your build.

What about Wisconsin weather?

Every 4-week window includes 2 weather days on us, and the clock keeps running. Weather delays beyond those 2 days, documented against National Weather Service records for the Madison area, nullify the 4-week guarantee, so there's never an argument about whether Tuesday was workable. Guaranteed windows are scheduled on April through October starts. Winter builds are quoted with a modified window.

What counts as a standard home?

Up to 3,200 square feet, stick-framed, standard roof complexity. Every project is quoted by our estimating team, and complexity adds cost and time. We've framed simple cottages and elaborate lakefront homes with indoor basketball courts, so bring us whatever you've got. We'll tell you straight whether it fits the guarantee.

Do you frame additions or remodels?

No. Framing packages are whole, large structures only: homes, multi-unit buildings, barns, and other large wooden buildings. A dedicated 6-man crew needs a full structure to stay productive for the whole window, and that's exactly what keeps your schedule tight and the guarantee real.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in DeForest, Wisconsin, just north of Madison, and our framing packages serve custom homebuilders across southern Wisconsin. Not sure if your site is in range? Send your plans anyway and we'll confirm with your quote.

Why choose QBC over a cheaper framing sub?

Because the cheapest framer is only cheap until they don't show up. QBC started as a custom home framing crew and has been building for 25+ years, and we put a completion guarantee in writing that most subs won't touch. Premium framing means your schedule, your inspections, and your next trades all land on time.
