Cabinet Installation in Fitchburg, WI

Multifamily cabinets supplied and installed on Madison's south side, with two Fitchburg cabinet packages behind us

Does QBC install cabinets in Fitchburg?

Yes. Fitchburg is 25 minutes from our DeForest office and inside the Dane County circle our crews work every day. QBC LLC supplies and installs kitchen cabinets, bath vanities, closet systems, and common area casework for general contractors and developers on multifamily projects, and two of our cabinet-only packages have gone into Fitchburg buildings.

Where has QBC installed cabinets in Fitchburg?

Projects completed or under contract, with the general contractor:

  • Oakridge Fitchburg Building 2 (McGann Construction): cabinets
  • 273 Unit Fitchburg (CF Investments): cabinets
  • Irish Fields Phase II (McGann Construction): finish carpentry and countertops
  • Lacy Ridge Townhomes (1848): finish carpentry, countertops, and sills

Both Fitchburg cabinet jobs were cabinets alone. On the next one we would rather hold the tops and trim too, so one project manager runs the whole kitchen.

What does the cabinet scope include?

The same scope as our cabinetry service page: kitchen cabinets, bath vanities, closet systems, and common area casework (CSI Division 12), supplied and installed under one contract. Our primary line is a frameless system engineered for multifamily kitchens, baths, and closets, with framed and frameless lines from other manufacturers when the spec calls for them. Takeoff from your plans, samples and submittals approved before anything is ordered, shop drawings, every unit site measured before the order is finalized, installation and trim-out by QBC crews, and a 1 year labor warranty plus manufacturer warranty support. Countertops and finish carpentry are separate QBC scopes run by the same project manager, so cabinets set, tops template, and trim closes out on one calendar.

How does a Fitchburg cabinet project run?

Cabinets are one of the longest lead items in the finish schedule, 4 to 6 months from award to installation on a larger multifamily project, so the clock starts in preconstruction. Your project manager is assigned, door styles, finishes, and hardware are approved from samples, shop drawings are signed off, and every unit is site measured before the order is placed against its lead time. Deliveries are scheduled by building so product is not sitting on site getting damaged. Crews set cabinets after drywall and before countertops; if QBC holds the tops, the same project manager sends the templating crew in behind them. Four rounds of punch (ours, yours, the owner's, and final), then closeout with labor and manufacturer warranties.

How do I get QBC on a Fitchburg project?

Send plans to bids@questbuildingcorp.com, or call 608-665-3304 and ask for Sales. We take off and bid every requested scope, labor and materials, under one contract. Most of our work comes through general contractors; if you're a developer who wants QBC on the job, see how developers put QBC on a project.

FAQs

Do you install cabinets for Fitchburg homeowners?

No. Our cabinet crews work for general contractors and developers on multifamily projects, plus specialty cabinet installations on commercial projects. The one place we work directly with homeowners is countertop packages.

Frameless or framed cabinets for a Fitchburg apartment project?

Frameless cabinets have no face frame, so doors cover the full box and drawers open wider, which suits tight unit layouts. Framed cabinets give a wider range of door styles and finishes. We install both and can price both at bid.

Do you site measure before ordering?

Yes. Every unit is measured before the cabinet order is finalized. Measuring before ordering is how a fit error on one kitchen stays off the other 100.

Can you supply cabinets without installation?

Yes. We have sold cabinetry-only packages to general contractors; see building materials.

Who is my point of contact?

One dedicated QBC project manager, from bid through closeout, for every scope we hold.
