Does QBC do finish carpentry in Madison?

Yes, and more of it than anywhere else. Our shop and office are in DeForest, 15 minutes up Highway 51, so Madison is home turf. Crews, Foremen, and project managers are on Madison jobsites every working day.

What does the finish carpentry scope include?

The same scope as our finish carpentry service page: interior doors, frames, and hardware including fire rated doors and panic hardware (CSI Division 08), base, case, window trim, and sills (Division 06), and architectural ceilings on some projects. Labor and materials under one contract. Cabinetry and countertops are separate QBC scopes run by the same project manager, so one contract can cover the whole interior. Stone sills come out of our own DeForest shop.

How does a Madison finish carpentry project run?

Submittals first. Door schedules, hardware schedules, and trim profiles get signed off in preconstruction and ordered against real lead times, so the doors are on site when the trim crew is. Before the first door hangs, the Foreman walks the building with the project manager and the whole crew goes over the plans on site. Then unit after unit, four rounds of punch (ours, yours, the owner's, and final), and closeout with a 1 year labor warranty. One project manager for the length of the job. If you bundled cabinets and tops with us, the same project manager carries those too.

How do I get QBC on a Madison project?

Send plans to bids@questbuildingcorp.com, or call 608-665-3304 and ask for Sales. We take off and bid every requested scope, labor and materials, under one contract. Most of our Madison work comes through general contractors; if you're a developer who wants QBC on the job, see how developers put QBC on a project.
