Multifamily Framing and Finishes Across Dane County

QBC crew toolbox talk at Signature Pointe on the eastside of Madison, Wisconsin.

Does QBC work across Dane County?

Yes. Dane County is where QBC LLC started in 1998 and where most of our crews are on any given day. Our office and countertop shop are in DeForest, and most of the cities on this page are within 30 minutes of them; Verona is about 40. We supply and install framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and countertops for general contractors and developers on apartment, senior living, student housing, and mixed-use projects, under one contract with one project manager per job.

Which Dane County cities does QBC have pages for?

Each city page lists the projects we have completed or have under contract there, with the general contractor and the scopes.

No page for your city yet? We still work there. DeForest, Oregon, McFarland, Cottage Grove, Windsor, Cross Plains, and Mount Horeb are all inside the same circle. A page only means we have named projects to show.

What does QBC do in Dane County?

Four scopes, bid separately or bundled:

  • Rough carpentry: platform framing, floor systems, trusses, and wall panels, with lumber and panels supplied under the same contract
  • Finish carpentry: doors, frames, hardware, base, case, window trim, and sills
  • Cabinetry: multifamily kitchen, bath, and closet cabinets, supplied, site measured, and installed
  • Countertops: quartz and granite, laser templated on site and fabricated in DeForest

When one contract covers more than one scope, one project manager runs the schedule: framing hands off to trim, cabinets set, tops template, trim closes out.

Why does being local matter on a Dane County project?

Three practical things. A site visit is a short drive, so a Foreman can walk a building the same day a question comes up. Countertops are templated, cut, and installed from one shop a few miles from the site, so a remake does not wait on a truck from out of town. And the crews on your project are the same crews that built the last one down the road, so the GC superintendents in this county already know them by name.
